What is hydrophilic oil and what it used for?

Главная картинка

It seems that almost every skincare brand offer a hydrophilic oil. So you are probably wondering how this tool works, and who should use it. Hydrophilic oils or cleansing oils especially those that are easily washed off, can become a great addition to your daily skincare routine. And it does not matter whether this product is used by itself or as part of a double-cleansing.

Hydrophilic oils are another option for removing makeup, skin impurities, and excess sebum. But they work differently if compared with conventional cleaning agents, which are produced in the form of creams, gels or foams.

Universal cleansing cosmetics consist essentially of surface-active components, ingredients that interacting with makeup, allow you to remove it quickly enough, then simply rinsing with water. And such variations may contain moisturizing ingredients that will prevent to some extent skin dryness or tightening feeling. But hydrophilic oil is based on oils, and other components are extra. And therefore the effect significantly differs.

How oil cleanses the skin?

Oils not only moisturize the skin but also work as a special type of solvent. Such products are lipophilic. They naturally "work" with other oils, including skin oil (sebum) produced by our skin, and oil ingredients in cosmetics. This feature allows you to quickly dissolve the makeup and excess sebum while softening the skin and caring for it. But it doesn't leave skin oily, it simply removed along with the makeup and dirt without too much hassle. Usually, it's enough one application of the oil to remove even waterproof makeup when with other products you need to repeat.

Advantages of the hydrophilic oil

  • Fast and easy removal of all types of make-up and sun creams
  • Firming skin and gives it smoothness
  • Compatible with any other cleaning agent
  • The gentle care and superior hydration

Who is it best for?

This product can be used for any type of skin. Good hydrophilic oil will relieve you from the need for separate makeup removers, thereby greatly facilitating the task.

How to use cleansing oil?

The hydrophilic oil is used in the same way as a standard cleanser. Apply a small amount of oil to damp skin. Gently massage the face skin and eyes. Then wash skin thoroughly and wipe it dry with a soft towel. Feel free to experiment to find out which product is best for you.
